Face on Mars

Not everything we know fits into a tidy packet.

Recently, NASA announced they had re-photographed the Cydonia region of Mars, location of the famed "face". According to the press release, the face must have been a trick of shadow and lighting, because it couldn't be seen on the subsequent flight.
